Advanced Program
Advanced Program
Through this program, WMTC partnered with Grand Valley State University (GVSU) to support current, certified teachers and consultants in pursuing graduate-level endorsements in high-need areas — at no cost to participants. We are proud of the educators who joined this initiative and continue to make an impact across West Michigan schools.
Members are -
- Currently licensed and employed in a West Michigan Teacher Collaborative partner school district (in Kent, Muskegon, or Ottawa Area ISD).
- Committed to give back or mentor for West Michigan Teacher Collaborative Residency participants in the future.
- Passionate about the field of education and the opportunities this will provide for your students and community.
GVSU Programs Offered:
- Literacy Studies: Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages/English as a Second Language Endorsement (NS)
- Literacy Studies: K-12 Reading Specialist (BR)
- Special Education: Specific Learning Disabilities Endorsement (SM)
- Special Education: Autism Spectrum Disorder Endorsement (SV)
- Special Education: Cognitive Impairment Endorsement (SA)
- School Counseling (NT)
- Literacy Studies Elementary Reading Endorsement (BT)
- Literacy Studies Secondary Reading Endorsement (BT)
